Zepbound is known to have more benefits than just weight loss, including cardiovascular benefits. As anyone that knows me, I love data and my Apple Watch provides a lot of data for me about myself. Last night I got an interesting alert – my resting heart rate has lowered in the past month. I went from an average of 72 down to an average of 62. My heart isn’t having to work as hard to pump blood while I’m resting, and I’ll take it. I have also felt like my anxiety has been greatly dialed back. I don’t have a study to point to, but I suspect these two are closely related.
The first day on the higher dose was overall not bad. I did have some nausea that seemed to hover between .5 and 1.5 on a scale of 1 – 10, with some occasional jumps to 5. I’ve got Zofran incase I need it, but haven’t had to use it yet. Curious to see how it goes for the rest of this week and especially next week at the next injection.
Last for updates is that part of this journey has been not only weight loss but focusing on good, clean, lean foods including protein and fiber, and getting into a good exercise routine. Both are in progress. I’m happy to stay I went back to CrossFit last night and really enjoyed the class.
