As I detailed in my recent Hugo blog post, I wanted to have Github invoke an action that automatically deployed my site upon commit of new code. As I was looking around the internet for inspiration, I stumbled upon Render which hosts unlimited static sites for free and integrated with Github to automatically deploy. Since the writing of my last blog post, I’ve moved all of my static sites from a Linode VM over to Render and working on moving a WordPress over to Hugo + Render.
Their solution makes it incredibly easy to deploy changes, no logging into their service or any changes to be made. Once I’ve tested my sites locally, just commit and in 60-90 seconds they’re deployed!
